I’ve been a veterinarian with Martensville Veterinary Hospital since 2006, and owner since March 2014. I love my career and this clinic! Every day, I feel fortunate to have the sort of job that allows me to meet and work with interesting and inspired people and pets…and to help come up with solutions and preventative programs for everyone involved.
We have an amazing health care team at the clinic…one that I’m excited to be a part of. Collectively, our hospital emphasizes client education, sharing of information, and ongoing training and education for all staff members.
Aside from a general love of what I do, and caring about people and pets…I like to stay current in my approaches by maintaining involvement with different professional organizations, and attending conferences and hands-on labs. I am a member of the International Veterinary Association of Pain Management and the American Association of Feline Practitioners and a contributor to the Foundation for Veterinary Dentistry. All of our veterinarians are also members of the Veterinary Information Network and The American Animal Hospital Association, the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association and the Saskatchewan Veterinary Medical Association (SVMA). I currently chair the Community Relations Committee, and assist with Sask.Vets for the SVMA.
When I’m not here…I like to walk around (city or countryside) and explore with my daughter Valerie, and our dogs Grace and Buster. Valerie and I also like to make obstacle courses and forts for our three cats: Cappie, Deuce, and Mischief. I like cooking, baking, and eating! Valerie, my husband Kris, and I, all love to paint, travel, garden and go on short canoeing adventures.
